It was a busy finish to the week for the Decorah wrestling team, competing at Crestwood and Center Point last week.
NEIC match-up
Decorah competed in a wrestling dual at Crestwood Thursday night, falling 57-15, to the Class 2A No. 2 Cadets.
Three Vikings came home with victories.
At 126 pounds, it was Lane Rolfs threw Cade Korsmo in 1:27. Class 2A No. 5 Jackson Rolfs continued his win streak at 145 pounds by pinning Bryce Shea in 1:35. Keenan Tyler got the big win at 182 pounds. He collected a 3-2 decision of Class 2A No. 9 Landen Schemmel.
Dual tourney
Saturday, the Viking matmen traveled to participate in a dual tournament at Center Point-Urbana, winning three of their four matches.
Decorah bested the hosts 69-6 before defeating Tipton 60-15 and Oelwein 63-21. The lone loss of the day was to Class 2A No. 1 West Delaware 47-24.
For the day, five Vikings went 4-0 including Kollin Henry (106 lbs.), Brady Stille (132), Austin Wilkins (138), Class 2A No. 5 Jackson Rolfs (145) and Keenan Tyler (182).
