By Becky Walz,

For the first time since 2010, Decorah High School has won the 2020-2021 Northeast Iowa Conference All-Sport Trophy.  This award is given to the school in the NEIC with the lowest overall point total earned from conference team placings in NEIC sports.  Decorah finished with a total of 29.5 points highlighted by championships in football, boys and girls cross country, boys basketball, girls and boys track and field and baseball.
“This has been an absolutely fabulous year for all of our activity programs at Decorah High School. It is a great feeling to know that our students, staff and their families have made, earned this honor through their combined efforts and support of each other and through student participation in multiple activities during an extremely challenging school year,” said Activities Director Adam Riley. “When you add conference titles in the sports of boys bowling, girls swimming and diving, boys swimming, girls tennis and boys tennis, our student-athletes and coaches were able to earn conference championships in 12 of our 19 sports that have conference competition.”
