Dons limit Trojans offense

By Becky Walz,

The Turkey Valley football team (1-1, 0-0) simply couldn’t keep the ball moving down the field against Don Bosco (2-0, 0-0) Friday night at home, falling 48-8.
“Don Bosco dominated the game on both sides of the ball, and we struggled to get any offense going to move the ball. The defense was on the field most of the night,” said Coach Mark Scott. “I hope we learned what it takes to play at the level we need to play at to make a run in the postseason.”

Dons dominate
Don Bosco scored in three of the four quarters and held a 48-0 lead over the Trojans. The visitors were up 21-0 after the opening frame and added two touchdowns in the second for a 35-0 lead at the half. Two more TDs in the third gave Don Bosco even more padding before junior Oliver Schmitt weaved and spun his way through the defense into the endzone from 11-yards out in the final period.
