Eight goals lead to win over NH

There was no lack of offense for the Decorah boys soccer team (4-1) as the Vikes put another tally in the win column after defeating New Hampton (4-5) at home Tuesday, 8-0.
A hat trick (3 goals) by Jake Magner led the Vikes to the victory to go with one assist. Ian Giddings, Jimmy Valdez and Jeramiah Rediske all had a goal and assist as well with senior Benson Newhouse scoring his second goal in as many games. Easton Luzum scored the final goal for Decorah.
In all, the Vikes out-shot the Chickasaws 42-8 with 24 shots on goal.
The Vikes are at Waverly-Shell Rock Thursday, April 20, then host Clayton Ridge Friday, April 21. Both contests are set to begin at 5 p.m. Monday, April 24, Decorah will be at Denver at 7 p.m.
