Eight perfect scores in week 5

By Becky Walz,

It must have been an easier week, or just a lot of lucky guesses, as there were eight perfect entries into the Pigskin Picks football contest for week five. It came down to the tie-breakers for the second week in a row.
Turkey Valley scored the most points of a single team with 69 as the first tie-breaker. In the second tie-breaker the combined score of Turkey Valley and West Central was 105 points and was the difference in the first and second prizes. The top-three individuals all guessed 68 in the first tie-breaker.
Decorah’s Sue Roby came out on top with a second tie-breaker guess of 92. It came down to David Luhman’s guess of 88 that settled him into second, while Dale B. Olson of Decorah had a second tie-breaker guess of 78 to take third.
Of the those missing games, most common ones were Crestwood falling to Osage, Lanesboro over Mabel-Canton and TCU defeating Oklahoma State.
