Experience will be key for the Decorah boys’ track and field team this spring.
With 10 seniors and 24 returning letter winners, the Vikings have athletes with experience scoring points in the big events. However, with 39 younger classmen, there will be a push for varsity spots.
Fielding a strong squad for the 2024 season is head coach Joel Rollinger. He brings 39 of experience to the program, with 25 as head coach. He is assisted by Bill Post, Steve Nesteby, Jeff Wattach and Loran Storts.
“I have been really impressed with our attitudes and team unity during the early season training workouts,” said Coach Rollinger. “We hope to parlay Decorah’s winter activity success into the spring season.”
