Fourth quarter hands SW a loss at Bellevue

By Becky Walz,

It all came down to the final period for the South Winn football team (2-5, 2-3) at Bellevue (3-4, 3-3) Friday night, with the Warrior offense getting shut down for the 42-28 district loss.
“We had great success running the ball the entire night as we were able to execute the offensive game plan coming in. We struggled however, to make the plays we needed on third and fourth down defensively,” said Coach Jason Ohrt. “We had a couple tough injuries throughout the night, but our kids battled hard and fought through the adversity. In the end we just came up a little bit short and Bellevue made some nice plays on offense down the stretch to put the game away.”
