“This was probably our toughest game of the year. We have been in a few close games and haven’t been able to close the deal. Friday night we were able to climb that hill,” said Coach Derek Taylor. “We trailed the entire game, struggling on the offensive end for most of the night. These kids never gave up. They played hard for 32 minutes, we were able to create some turnovers late, hit our free throws and walk out with a win. I am proud of the way the team battled,” said Coach Derek Taylor.
Leading the Warriors in scoring with 13 points was freshman Braiden Todd. Senior Keagen Streeter was there for 12 points and nine rebounds, while Dawson Wenthold contributed nine points and three steals.
The Warriors were at Kee Monday, Jan. 30, and will travel to Postville Tuesday, Jan. 31. The week will end at home Friday, Feb. 3, against MFL MarMac.
