They did it again.
Since joining the NEIC and WaMac boys tennis teams into a conference tournament in 2019, Decorah has been the only champion and secured their fourth-straight title on another cold, windy, all-day event at Luther College Monday.
Taking part in the conference tournament, the No. 1 players played each other, the No. 2 played each other, and so on. Flighted singles action took place in the morning, with Decorah winning five of the six and placing second in one. In doubles in the afternoon, Decorah won two and finished second in one, winning the team title by nine points over Waverly Shell-Rock.
“It was a great day of tennis with lots of matches played in tough conditions, this event always seems to jump start the Decorah team into post season play and I expect the same to happen this year based on the events of the day. The team is really rounding into form,” said Coach Matt Anderson.
