Kruckman claims two silvers at Huskies Invite

The South Winn boys’ track and field team ventured into Husky territory Tuesday night to compete at the Oelwein Huskies Boys Invite, finishing fifth with 43 points. Waukon seized the team title with 126 points. 

The South Winn boys’ track and field team ventured into Husky territory Tuesday night to compete at the Oelwein Huskies Boys Invite, finishing fifth with 43 points. Waukon seized the team title with 126 points. 
Leading the way for the Warriors with a pair of runner-up finishes was distance runner Isaiah Kruckman. The senior crossed the finish line in 10:14.14 in the 3200-meter run and later completed the 1600-meter race in 4:46.31.
South Winn’s 4×200 relay claimed bronze as Nolan Sabelka, Evan Bushman, Lukas Weiss and Nick Holien combined for a time of 1:39.94.
Other notable performances included Kaden Bullerman finishing fourth in the long jump (18’6.5”), the 4×100 relay of Sabelka, Bushman, Weiss, Holien (4th, 47.65), Bushman in the 100-meter dash (5th, 12.37) and the 4×400 relay of K. Bullerman, Brady Ohrt, Brody Tieskoetter and Trey Kriener (5th, 4:00.69).

The Warriors will stay closer to home Friday, April 22, competing at North Fayette Valley at 4:30 p.m. South Winn will travel to Osage Tuesday, April 25.
