It was a good start Saturday as the Decorah boys’ tennis team is looking to make a return trip to the team state meet in 2024. The Vikes hosted Oelwein, Osage and Clear Lake for the first two rounds of the Class 1A Substate 3 bracket.
In team competition, four teams square off in the first two rounds with the winners playing each other to move into substate finals, which is the final 16 teams. Now Decorah will host Aplington-Parkersburg for the state bid Wednesday, May 15, at 4 p.m.
