Decorah swimmers sink Waterloo, Dubuque Senior

Thursday, September 8, 2022 3:36 pm

Returning to the water in a double dual Tuesday, the Decorah girls’ swim and dive team defeated Waterloo, 110 to 75, and Dubuque Senior, 101 to 81, in Waterloo.
“We are pleased with how the team performed last night. Three meets in five days — with a lot of the girls racing in a combined 12 races — had us swimming with some tired arms. We competed hard and showed a lot of determination by winning several races in the final yards. Girls are stepping up by swimming new events, helping in relays when needed, and overall showing a strong desire to put in the work,” said Coach Loran Storts.

“We knew coming in that this was going to be a tough challenge for our young football team.
