After Friday’s game was postponed due to weather concerns, the Decorah girls’ basketball team was back on the court Saturday night versus Saint Charles in the Border Battle, winning 73-36.

Getting to see the first conference action of the year, the Decorah wrestling team hosted New Hampton Thursday, Dec. 9. At the end of the night, the Vikes fell to the Chickasaws 72-43.
Warriors fall at home to NH

A slow night offensively was the undoing of the South Winn boys’ basketball team as the Warriors (3-2, 2-1 UIC) fell at home to New Hampton (1-3, 0-0 NEIC) Thursday night, 59-39.
Decorah finishes fifth at Marcussen invite

It was another Saturday and another invite for the Decorah swim team as the Vikings competed at the Marcussen Invite, hosted by Cedar Falls Saturday. They put up 280 points to finish fifth overall.
TV boys outlast Clayton Ridge

Defending its home court, the Turkey Valley boys’ basketball team (2-1, 1-1 UIC) raced out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating Clayton Ridge (1-1, 1-1 UIC) Friday night, 47-40.

Warriors fourth at Wapsie Valley

In the 14-team Chris Davis tournament, hosted by Wapsie Valley Saturday, the South Winn wrestling team posted a strong finish.
The Warriors earned fourth place with 108 points. Nashua-Plainfield was the team champion with 199 points.
Before the hitting the road Saturday, three individuals from the South Winn girls’ squad wrestled at Decorah with success.

Saturday, the Vikings competed in the Bob Murphy Invite at West Delaware. Decorah finished sixth in team score with 128.5 points. West Delaware was the team champion with 294 points.

The Warriors fell to the Cadets, 50-27, and rebounded to defeat Northwood-Kensett, 48-25, and Tripoli, 66-12.

SW never trailed in the contest, taking a 23-7 lead after the first quarter.
