Rescheduled
After Mother Nature’s snow forced Friday’s game at Clayton Ridge (8-5, 8-2 UIC) to be cancelled, the two teams were able to meet on the court Monday with the Eagles coming out on top, 68-35.
Playing in Guttenberg, the Trojans were slow on the whistle, giving up a 25-3 lead to the Eagles after the first eight minutes. Clayton Ridge carried the momentum through to halftime for a 42-13 advantage and never looked back in the second half.
Dylan Reicks and Calvin Bodensteiner provided eight points apiece to lead the Trojans, with Reicks nabbing four rebounds and Bodensteiner three. Brothers Garrett and Caleb Kurtenbach each added six points to the mix.

Facing a 17-9 deficit after the first period, TV closed the gap to two, 26-24, at the half. The two squads exchanged the lead several times in the second half and the Trojans’ last lead of the game was with just over four minutes to play. Dominating the floor was Reicks with 33 points, 14 rebounds and four steals. C. Kurtenbach and Noah Hanson was there for seven points apiece, while Carson Busta knocked down three.
