Rolfs to wrestle at Upper Iowa University

By Becky Walz,

Decorah High School senior Jackson Rolfs has signed his national letter of intent to wrestle at Upper Iowa University in Fayette.
Rolfs has been a four-year letter winner in wrestling at Decorah High School. During that time, Rolfs has earned multiple honors including: four Northeast Iowa Conference titles, three sectional titles and three district titles.
At the State Wrestling Tournament, Jackson placed eighth at 145 pounds in 2020 and finished the 2021 season off with a fourth-place finish at 145 pounds, finishing his high school career with an overall record of 128-29.
He was only the second Viking to win four conference titles and holds the record for the most high school career pins at Decorah. Rolfs’ coach Lee Fullhart is the only other grappler to earn four NEIC titles as a Viking.
In addition to wrestling, Rolfs participated in football.
Jackson is the son of Charlie and Amy Rolfs.
