Home stand
The Warriors picked up a non-conference win on Friday evening over Sumner-Fredericksburg (8-9).
In a pitchers dual, Warrior, junior, Keagen Streeter tossed a gem of a game going 6-2/3 innings scattering four hits, striking out 11 and walking nobody. Nick Holien entered the game to record the final out and pick up the save. Kole Hageman had the lone hit for the Warriors while Carson Streeter drove in the only run of the game on a sac fly.
“This is an intense game with the pitchers leading the way for both teams. We played a great game on the defensive side and made the routine plays along with a couple big time plays. Sumner-Fredericksburg really impressed me with the two pitchers they had and they kept us in check at the plate. This was a playoff type game where every pitch mattered and our guys handled it really well,” said Coach Alex Smith.
