South Winn girls hold 18-hole triangular

The South Winn girls’ golf team hosted North Fayette Valley and Clayton Ridge in an 18-hole triangular at South Winn Golf and Country Club Tuesday afternoon amid the strong winds and cold temperatures. The Eagles of Clayton Ridge came out on top with a 430, while the TigerHawks finished the day second with a 474 tally. South Winn rounded out the field with a 484.

The South Winn girls’ golf team hosted North Fayette Valley and Clayton Ridge in an 18-hole triangular at South Winn Golf and Country Club Tuesday afternoon amid the strong winds and cold temperatures. The Eagles of Clayton Ridge came out on top with a 430, while the TigerHawks finished the day second with a 474 tally. South Winn rounded out the field with a 484.
Leading the way for the Warriors in third place overall was Katrina Hageman with a 108. Julia Carnesi came through with a 121, while senior Ruthie Frana carded a 127. Brooke Steffans concluded the team score with a 128. Other varsity linksters on the course for South Winn included Annesten Ondrashek (130) and Elizabeth Bohr (133).
The Warriors will host Crestwood and West Central Thursday, April 28, at Silver Springs Golf Course in Ossian at 4 p.m. The girls will travel to Waukon Friday, April 29, in a make-up meet with tee-off at 4 p.m. Next week kicks off at the Tri City Golf Course versus MFL MarMac Monday, May 2, at 4 p.m.
