State qualifying cross country meet info

State qualifying meet sites for cross country were announced.
Girls and boys run at the same site, with the Class 3A and 4A races taking place Wednesday, Oct. 20, and the Class 1A and 2A on the courses Thursday, Oct. 21. 
The girls race starts at 4 p.m., with the boys at 4:30 p.m. The first three teams, plus the first 15 individual place winners from each site qualifies for the state meet in Class 3A, while in Class 2A the top two teams, plus the top 10 individual place winners will advance to the state meet.
Decorah is in Class 3A. The Vikings will host. Besides the Vikings, also competing will be Center Point-Urbana, Charles City, Crestwood, Western Dubuque (Epworth), Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Independence, Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR, Vinton-Shellsburg, Dubuque Wahlert, Waverly-Shell Rock, West Delaware and Cedar Rapids Xavier.
South Winn and Turkey Valley are both in Class 1A and will compete at Clayton Ridge in Guttenberg, along with Alburnett, Bellevue, Clarksville, Don Bosco, Dunkerton, East Buchanan, Edgewood-Colesburg, Janesville, Kee, Maquoketa Valley, Marquette Catholic, MFL MarMac, Postville, Tripoli and Wapsie Valley.
Once again the state meet will be held as a two-day event with Class 3A (Decorah) and 4A competing Friday, Oct. 29, followed by the Class 1A (South Winn and Turkey Valley) and 2A on Saturday, Oct. 30.
