Competing against some larger schools, the South Winn girls’ track and field team had a steep hill to climb Tuesday at the Hudson Relays, finishing 13th with 19 points.
Junior Billie Wagner had the lone top-five finish of the night as she was the second to stop the clock in the 3000-meter run in 11:10.99.
South Winn had several other events in the top 10 including Abby Wagner in the high jump (6th, 4’10”), B. Wagner in the 800-meter run (7th, 2:36.50), the shuttle hurdle relay of Josie Hageman, Gabby Becker, Izzy Kuboushek and Kelsey Timp (7th, 1:24.52) and the 4×800 relay of Josie Tieskoetter, Megan Hageman, Anna Dietzenbach and Ella Willey (6th, 11:13.18).

The next time to see the Lady Warriors in action will be Friday, April 22, at North Fayette Valley at 4:30 p.m. South Winn will be at Oelwein Monday, April 25, at 4:30 p.m.
