SW offense limited by Chickasaws

In the regular season finale, the South Winn softball team (11-16) fought to find an offensive rhythm to no avail against New Hampton (10-20) Friday, falling 13-0 in three frames.
The Chickasaws scored three runs in the first before pushing five across home plate in each the second and third frames to end the game early. The Warriors picked up just one hit by freshman catcher Avery Humpal.

Regional action
The Warriors will host Postville Tuesday, July 6, for first-round Class 2A Region 6 action at 7 p.m. The winner will advance to play North Linn in Troy Mills, Wednesday, July 7, in the regional quarterfinal at 7 p.m.
