Tough final week of Pigskin Picks

By Becky Walz,

With so many upsets happening in Iowa high school football, the final week of the Pigskin Picks football contest was up for grabs.
The fewest missed games were four by David Kamm and Doreen Holstad, both of Decorah. Kamm came out first with a tie-breaker that was seven away from Central’s 76 points. Holstad settled for second with her tie-breaker 10 away. Marie Riha of Fort Atkinson also missed four games and was 12 away from the tie-breaker.
Decorah upsetting No. 1 North Scott was one of the most commonly missed games, along with Turkey Valley falling to Kee, Wapsie Valley edging North Linn and Wisconsin defeating Iowa.
