A little short
It was another one-run game Tuesday night with the Trojans falling 4-3 to Clayton Ridge-Central (5-17, 5-10 UIC) at home.
CR-C took the early lead, only to have Turkey Valley answer in the bottom of the first on a C. Busta single and a WarEagle error. The junior later scored on a wild pitch. With CR-C leading 3-1 into the fifth frame, the Trojans knotted the score when C. Kurtenbach rapped out a double and scored on an error. Another WarEagle error allowed Dylan Reicks to reach base. “This was a great effort by our guys, they just came up a little short,” said Coach Dan Stepan.
