In one of the final meets before conference, the Turkey Valley girls’ track and field team traveled to North Butler Friday.
The Trojans finished third with 80 points. Saint Ansgar took the team title with 131 points.
Once again junior Jalyssa Blazek claimed the 800-meter run, crossing the finish line in 2:22.52. The sprint medley and distance medley both brought home gold. In the sprint med, Kara Reicks, Clare Courtney, Olivia Snyder and Blazek combined to win in 1:44.98. Posting a time of 4:26.72, the distance medley quartet of Reicks, Courtney, Jaycie Byrne and Blazek won.
Josie Weber, Byrne, Cambree Kruse and Blazek posted a time of 10:17.85 in the 4×800 to finish second.
Turkey Valley was at South Winn Monday. The conference meet is Thursday, May 6, at North Fayette Valley at 4 p.m.
