TV downs Bulldogs in three

Back in action Tuesday, the Turkey Valley volleyball team (4-11, 2-2 UIC) swept MFL MarMac (6-14, 1-4 UIC) on the road. The Trojans won by set scores of 25-15, 25-11 and 25-19.
As a team, the Trojans had 24 kills, 69 attack attempts, 32 assists, 49 digs and 8 total blocks. From the service line, the Trojans went 63-for-68 with seven aces.
Sophomore Annika Bodensteiner was solid at the net with nine kills and two total blocks. Ryann Schmitt provided seven kills, while Kinsey Reicks pounded down four. Dishing out the 23 assists was Maici Weber, to go with seven digs and two block assists. Halle Weber went 13-for-15 and had 12 digs, while Morgan Vsetecka was 8-for-8 with three aces and six digs. Adriana Tiedt provided another nine digs and was 15-for-15 at the service line.
The Trojans are at home Thursday, Sept. 28, against Clayton Ridge then are at Central Elkader Tuesday, Oct. 3.
