TV seizes win over Bulldogs

By Becky Walz,

Keeping the fire burning from earlier in the week, the Turkey Valley volleyball team (10-11, 3-1 UIC) ruled the courts in Monona Thursday, defeating MFL MarMac (10-11, 2-2 UIC) in three sets.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-20 and 25-14.
“Josie (Weber) did a great job again mixing up the sets and Adriana Tiedt had a great night hitting along with Kourtney Schmidt and Olivia Drilling,” noted co-coaches Tammy Vrzak and Jackie Novotny.
Tiedt had a massive night at the net with 21 kills to go with nine digs and a 14-for-16 serving mark with three aces. Schmidt and Drilling nailed down five kills apiece with J. Weber handing out 32 assists and going 16-for-16 at the serving line. Drilling had two blocks as well. Defensively, Clare Courtney snatched 25 digs while Halle Weber had 15.
