Falling short
Leading for most of Saturday’s game, the Vikings’ less-than-average fourth quarter doomed them against Cascade (13-4) as Decorah suffered its second loss of the season, 60-57.
After the Vikes led 15-10 after the opening quarter, the game came down to a battle for control with the score knotted at 28-28 as the teams went to the locker room. Decorah won the third frame, carrying a four-point lead into the fourth but Cascade turned on the jets, outscoring the Vikes 18-11 in the final eight minutes.
Individual stats were unavailable at press time.
