By Becky Walz,

As the sport of girls’ wrestling has increased in popularity in the last several years, teams from across northeast Iowa invaded Decorah Saturday for the first girls’ tournament of the year since the Iowa High School Girls’ Athletic Union sanctioned the sport.
The host Vikings finished third with 263 points behind Northwood-Kensett’s 307 and Cedar Falls’ 302 points. South Winn tallied 79 points during the event to finished ninth in the field of 14 teams.
