Viking boys back on winning track

After dropping a contest at Waverly, a couple weeks ago, the Decorah boys’ soccer team (11-3) are back with a three-game win streak. 

After dropping a contest at Waverly, a couple weeks ago, the Decorah boys’ soccer team (11-3) are back with a three-game win streak. 
The Vikings started early last week with a 5-1 win over Clayton Ridge (6-6) in Guttenberg. 
Thursday’s match at West Delaware (1-12) was over early with seven goals in the first half combined with a trio in the second half for the 10-0 shutout.
Decorah shut down the Dubuque Hempstead (3-9) offensive attack early Saturday to win on the road 3-0.
No other stats were available at press time.
The Vikes hosted Waverly-Shell Rock Monday for the final regular season game. Thursday, May 19, Decorah will return to the home pitch versus West Delaware in substate action at 6:30 p.m.
