“This was a big win over a great opponent that was close the entire match. The girls stayed focused and Rebecca Bruening was 9-10 in the baker games with six strikes,” said Coach Keith Bruening.
At the front of the Decorah pack were Sydney Hageman with games of 160 and 184, while Lily Iverson was close behind with scores of 188 and 132. Other varsity keglers on the lane were Chloe Chyle (160, 151), Grace Gerleman (165, 143), Rebecca Bruening (133, 139) and Hannah Schnitzler (116, 127).

The boys team fell short of the win, as the Comets defeated Decorah 2,953 to 2,730. Baker games were 184, 203, 223, 169 and 221.
“Charles City is a solid opponent and class act with good coaches and good kids. When a team bowls Charles City, they have to bowl great,” noted Coach K. Bruening.
