Decorah dominates
The Vikings had three grapplers on top of the medal stand, including Anya Lovstuen (113 pounds), Naomi Simon (170) and Maia Foster (195).
Lovstuen recorded two falls and a decision en route to her title. She first squared off against Emma Hall of Saint Ansgar, throwing her in 3:55. Advancing to the semifinal, Lovstuen earned a win by a 13-7 decision over Kassandrea Mueller of Holmen to move into the finals against Crestwood’s Kinze Shea. The Viking ended the match in 1:55 with a throw.
In round robin action, Simon pinned her way to the top of the podium, throwing all five of her opponents. The sophomore pinned Kloe Hemmersbach of Waukon in 1:28 and moved on to throw Charles City’s Kylie Vance in 39 seconds. It took Simon 44 seconds to pin Kloey Dowse of Saint Ansgar and 1:35 to turn teammate Camielle Wiedow. In round five, Clayton Ridge’s Samantha Spielbauer was a little more competition; however, Simon pinned her in 3:02.
At 195 pounds, Foster also threw all three of her foes. She won by fall in 42 seconds over Gabby Garcia of Postville in the quarterfinals, then tossed Emma Speicher on her back in 31 seconds in the semifinal. South Winn adversary Isabelle Kipp fought until the 1:16 mark when Foster ended the match.

Warrior trio
South Winn had three ladies in action and saw two make the finals, both finished in second.
At 126 pounds, Kaydn Meyer threw Holmen’s Molly Towner in 2:43 in the quarterfinals to advance. In the semifinals, she picked up a fall in 4:33 over Brandy Beatty of Central, before facing Holmen’s Jaida Harshman in the finals. There she was turned in 45 seconds.
