Vikings drop dual at Caledonia

Ending the 2021 portion of the season, the Decorah wrestling team was on the mats at Caledonia Tuesday night, Dec. 21, falling 60-21 to the combined Caledonia-Houston (Minn.) squad.
The Vikings picked up just two wins during the course of the meet. Austin Wilkins went the distance with Jacob Francis to win an 8-1 decision at 160 pounds. It was a fall for Brody Hanson at 170 pounds as he threw Alec Weinbender in 5:57.
Now that the 2021 portion of the season has come to an end, Decorah will look ahead to Tuesday, Jan. 4, with both the girls and boys in action at Osage, beginning at 6 p.m.
