Vikings to compete at Drake Relays

The Decorah girls’ and boys’ track teams will have eight events competing at the annual Drake Relays, set for Thursday through Saturday, April 28-30, in Des Moines at Drake Stadium.

The Decorah girls’ and boys’ track teams will have eight events competing at the annual Drake Relays, set for Thursday through Saturday, April 28-30, in Des Moines at Drake Stadium.
Viking girls set to compete are Brielle Buresh in the 100-meter dash. Julia Alberts and Chloe Reiser will also compete in individual events as Alberts throws the discus and Reiser will be in the shot put. The 4×100 and 4×200 relays will also be on the oval.
Haywood Stowe will compete in the long jump while Joseph Hjelle will be among the shot put field. The boys’ 4×100 will also step onto the blue oval.
Events and when they are scheduled for include girls shot put (Chloe Reiser), Thursday, 4:30 p.m.; boys long jump (Haywood Stowe), Thursday, 5 p.m.; 100-meter dash prelims (Brielle Buresh), Friday, 8:30 a.m.; girls discus (Julia Alberts), Friday, 9 a.m.; boys shot put (Joseph Hjelle), Friday, 9:30 a.m.; girls 4×200 Friday, 12:47 p.m.; girls 4×100 prelims, Saturday, 9:15 a.m.; boys 4×100 prelims, Saturday, 9:45 a.m.; girls 4×100 final, Saturday, 3:57 p.m.; boys 4×100 final, Saturday, 4:02 p.m.
