In the nightcap, the Vikings were leading the Comets 3-2 in the fifth frame when the rains came, washing out the rest of the night. The two teams were set to return to the diamond Wednesday morning at 11 a.m., to finish the game, however, the continuing rainfall postponed the final innings. No date has been set for the completion of the game as of press time.
Decorah will be at Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, June 10, for a varsity twinbill at 5 p.m., then hosts Charles City Monday, June 13, at 5 p.m.
