At Tripoli Saturday
South Winn only covered eight of the 14 weight classes at Saturday’s Tripoli tournament and saw three Warriors in the finals.
Aiden Feickert (106 pounds), Ethan Maldonado (132) and Logan Hageman (195) all made the championship match but fell short.
Sam Conway (170), Lane Quandahl (182) and Ethan Timp (285) all came back to get third in their respective brackets.
“I thought we wrestled well against some good competition with Lisbon and Nashua-Plainfield both being top 5 teams in 1A. This was a good indicator of where we are at the moment against some of the teams that will be in our sectional come February,” said Coach Elsbernd.
