Warriors secure share of UIC title

By Becky Walz,

The South Winn baseball team (28-9, 16-2) secured at least a share of the UIC title on Friday with the doubleheader sweep over Postville (0-17, 0-17 UIC). This marks the fourth year in a row the Warriors have either won the title outright or shared it, this year would be with Kee High.
The Warriors were efficient on the mound and defensively committing just two errors, allowing three hits, and walking two batters in the doubleheader.
“This was a busy week for us playing eight games over the five days. Finishing the week off by celebrating a conference title was a great moment for the team,” said Coach Alex Smith.
