Warriors slowed by NFV defense

By Becky Walz,

Slow offense doomed the South Winn girls’ basketball team (1-6, 1-4 UIC) at home as the Warriors fell to North Fayette Valley (3-2, 3-1 UIC) Tuesday, 49-22.
The Warriors scored eight points in the first quarter to trail 13-8 after eight minutes. The offense struggled more in the second, allowing NFV to a 19-12 lead at the half. The TigerHawks kept the pressure going in the third, allowing just two Warrior points in the third to extend the lead to 31-14.
