XC state-qualifying meet info

The state qualifying cross country meets are Wednesday, Oct. 18 (Class 3A/4A) and Thursday, Oct. 19 (Class 1A/2A). The varsity girls run at 4 p.m., with the varsity boys at 4:30 p.m.
Decorah is in Class 3A and will run at Clear Lake Wednesday. Other teams at that site are ADM, BK-CGD (boys), Bondurant-Farrar, Carlisle, Charles City, Clear Lake, Hampton-Dumont-CAL, Iowa Falls-Alden/AGWSR, Nevada, South Tama County, Waverly-Shell Rock and West Delaware.
In Class 3A, the top three teams, plus the top 15 individuals in each race advance to state.
South Winn and Turkey Valley are in Class 1A and will run at Central Springs Thursday. Other teams at that side are Belmond-Klemme (girls), Central Springs, Clarksville, Clear Lake Classical, Grundy Center, Janesville, Kee, Lake Mills, Nashua-Plainfield, Newman Catholic, North Iowa, Northwood-Kensett, Riceville, Rockford, Saint Ansgar, Tripoli, West Fork and West Hancock.
In Class 1A, the top two teams, plus the top 10 individual place winners, will advance to state.
The meets determine which teams advance to state, which is Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28, in Fort Dodge.
