Blazek wins gold for TV; Kruckman boys’ champ

By Becky Walz,

For the second year in a row, the South Winn girls’ cross country topped the standings at the UIC cross country meet Thursday night at Silver Springs Golf Course in Ossian with 42 points. The Warrior boys edged MFL MarMac by one point to take third with 87 points, after SW’s Isaiah Kruckman broke the tape.
Neither Turkey Valley squad had enough harriers to compete as a team but crowned the individual girls’ champion, Jalyssa Blazek.
Harriers who finished in the top 15 in either of the boys and girls race earned all-conference honors.
