Decorah girls claim Hudson title Tuesday night

It was a cold, windy night on the track Tuesday as the Vikings traveled to Hudson to take part in the Hudson Relays.
Decorah finished first overall with 128.50 points. Denver was second with 114 points. The JV competed at Waukon.

Four events took first place at Hudson for Decorah — all relays.
The combination of Brielle Buresh, Lani Hubka, Brinley Krivacheck and Hayley Stowe won three of those relays that began with the sprint medley in 1:53.06. The quartet later took the 4×200 title in 1:49.40 and ended the night with a gold in the 4×100 in a time of 50.50 seconds.
The 4×800 relay also broke the tape in 10:34.62. Members of that winning relay were Danielle Losen, Abby Halverson, Madison Tollefson and Lily Sandhorst.
Taking second were Julia Alberts in the discus (125’1”), Halverson in the 800-meter run (2:39.03) and the shuttle hurdle relay (Autumn Schaller, Sydney Kipp, Anya Lovstuen, Kallie Mincks, 1:10.64).
Decorah hosts an invitational tonight (Thursday, April 14), at 5 p.m., and will return to action Monday, April 18 at Maquoketa Valley.
