It was a night of solid performances among larger schools for the South Winn boys’ track and field team at Osage Tuesday night, which ended in a fourth-place team finish for the Warriors with 71 points. The team title went to Clear Lake with 148 points.
Isaiah Kruckman was the lone champion of the night in the 3200-meter run. The junior broke the tape in 10:56.09.
South Winn also saw three events earn silver. Toby Conway raced his way to second place in the 1600-meter run in 4:57.87. The distance medley relay of Zach Taylor, Logan Hageman, Collin Wiltgen and T. Conway earned runner-up in 4:01.00. The night ended with a silver in the 4×100. Members combining for a time of 45.15 seconds were Taylor, Evan Bushman, Sam Conway and Jacob Herold.
Finishing third was Cael Kuboushek in the 100-meter dash (11.40) and the 4×200 relay. Members of the relay were Bushman, Kuboushek, Sam Conway and Herold in 1:36.31.
The SW track and field teams have two regular season meets remaining including a co-ed meet at Crestwood tonight (Thursday, April 29) at 4:30 p.m. and their own South Winn invite Monday, May 3, at 4:30 p.m.
